Happy February!

Hey, my lovely friends!

I hope this post finds you all in good health and happy (if that’s not the case, then here goes some special thoughts and juju just for you 🙂 ). Over here things are good. Mr. Hubby and I have had some busy days (which is why I’m only writing this “Welcome to February” post now) but we’re happy and healthy and good. Yay!

One thing I’m really over the moon about is keeping my resolutions. January was a pretty mild month, so keeping them was easy as pie. However, like I said above this month started off with a kick. Every day I had something going on that kept me busy and away from home and my sweet routine. Keeping my daily yoga practices was hard since most days I’d leave my house in the morning and wouldn’t come back until late at night, but I kept strong in my resolve. Sometimes my practice was just a ten-minute stretch before bed, but every day I took the time to check in with my body and mind, and let me tell you taking that little time when I was so extremely tired was the best thing ever.

Also, even in my busiest days I’ve taken time to dedicate to my next book. I don’t always get to write as much as I want to, but every day I spend a good amount of time cooking up that story in my mind. This next book will deal with a lot of subjects that are close to my heart like self-worth, the nature of love and how deeply it can change us, loss, heartache and how we can hurt so much that life seems to lose its meaning. Going in this journey with Killian and Rory (the female lead) has been a very emotional ride for me. I don’t know if all writers are like this, but these early stages of a book are a game of giving and taking between me and the characters. I guess it comes from the whole “sharing a brain” thing, but some of my experiences become theirs and theirs become mine. That exchange makes everything more intense, more emotional, which is a great thing because it makes the story real, but it’s also nerve-wracking because this story is more REAL. Does that make sense? Anyways . . . my point is: I can’t wait to share it with you guys and have you be a part of my feels as well. 🙂

Okay, moving on to the books that can share with you right now. (YAY!!)

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I want to share my sweethearts with all of you, and that means 99 CENTS SALE. Yay!!!! v-day 2015

Both books are available at Amazon. You can get EXCEPTION here and THE REASON I STAY here, then all you’ll need is some coffee or wine or a nice bubbly (’cause that’s more romantic) and enjoy both Taylor and Matt. I promise Ems and Lexie won’t be jealous! 😉

And my last bit of news for today has to do with this:

The awesome Lisa from True Story Book Blog has invited me and Matt to be a part of their annual Valentine’s day “Love Notes” and I can’t even begin to say how happy and honored I was to be invited to join the fun. So Matt will make a stop at their blog on Feb 9th with a special letter to Lex. I hope you enjoy it! I’ll definitely be posting it here once it’s published as well, but True Story has a giveaway so make sure to go check it out. 😉 And to see their thoughts on TRIS, click here. 🙂

I think that’s it for now. Be kind and awesome and don’t forget to smile.

So far, so good!

Hello friends!

I hope this post finds you happy and enjoying 2015. If that’s not the case, then know that I’m sending lots of love and good juju your way. 🙂 As you can probably deduce from the title of this post, so far 2015 has been good and kind to me. So far I’ve been keeping my resolutions (Yay, yay, yay, YAY!!!!!!!) and finding that sweet spot in life where I feel good every day (even if it’s not all day), which is just awesome!

As I mentioned in my last post I’m committed to daily yoga practices and I’m proud to say that I haven’t skipped one day (Woo-hoo!). I’m already seeing some changes in my body, which is fantastic. 🙂 I’m not gonna lie and say that this journey has been easy. It hasn’t! It’s only been twelve days and I’ve already had a couple of days (today included) that my body felt so stiff and sore that I wanted nothing more than to say, “Screw this!” and go back to my couch potato ways. But, according to this quote by A League of Their Own, “Hard is what makes it great,” and oh boy, that’s so true! Knowing that I did it, that I stuck to my goal even though every muscle in my body wanted to give up is the most incredible reward.

So if there’s anything that you’re struggling with or thinking about quitting, don’t give up. I know that you can do it! And if you need a cheerleader know that I’ll be here cheering you on. 🙂

As for the good news . . . I’m happy to report that in these twelve days my flexibility has improved greatly, for the first time in over fifteen years my hamstrings and back are not bothering me. Yay! Also, I’ve noticed that pretty much all areas of my life are finding ease and balance. My insomnia is gone, I’m more focused in my everyday tasks, the stress that plagued me all last year is gone and I’M WRITING AGAIN!

Cue in the happy dance . . .

giphyOkay, now that we’ve danced my good news out, let’s talk about it! 🙂

Even though I’ve been cooking up this story inside my head for a few months now, I’m still in the very early stages of it so there’s not much that I can say now. However, it must be said that I’m completely in love with the male lead, Killian. There’s something about a really good  guy that just tugs at my Disney-girl heart. 🙂 Despite also being a romance, this book will be a lot different from both Exception and The Reason I Stay, which is exciting to me as a writer. Also, if all goes well (crossing fingers here) the book will be released sometime between the end of summer and early fall. And, that’s all I say today, but I can’t wait to share more news about it with you, so stay tuned!

And my last bit of news to share, is that I cut my hair!! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to get a pixie cut for sometime now and I finally got the courage to do it. Yay!  It’s an asymmetrical cut and I’m super excited. Here’s a pic (not my finest one, btw)! What do you think?

wpid-wp-1421096838522.jpegThat’s it for now! Be kind and happy, and we’ll talk soon.

Life in 2015

Hello Peeps!

First of all I’d like to wish you all a HAPPY 2015! It’s so crazy that it’s a brand new year already, isn’t it? I don’t know if it’s got to do with the whole getting older thing or if time is actually going by faster, but for whatever reason the years seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Is that just me?

Anyways . . . I’d like to wish you all the very best life has to offer in this new year. I hope you love, laugh, read, sleep and do whatever you love to do more than ever before. 🙂

Personally I have high hopes for 2015 and that’s in part because 2014 wasn’t the kindest year to me. In the past twelve months I had to deal with every type of crappy thing you can think off, from a broken toe, to a furbaby having two strokes, to my beloved cousin passing away at the early age of 21, to my grandma getting really sick.

With all that yuckiness going around I spent the last several months of 2014 focusing on the sucky things that happened instead of the awesome possibilities ahead. That led to feelings of guilty, being powerless, worthless and etc. Inside my head it was like every single thing that went wrong in life was my fault and as you can imagine with each passing day those feelings became more and more overwhelming. It got so bad that I became physically ill and mentally drained. Thankfully I’m doing better now, but it was awful!

But, I’m not here to be a Debbie Downer who complains about life on the second day of the year. C’mon, right? I’m here to talk about 2015, my 30th year on this awesome planet Earth and a year I’ve decided to call THE YEAR OF AWESOME THINGS — let’s have some faith people! 🙂

I don’t know if you’re a resolution kind of person, but I am. I love starting out a new year with some goals and I’d like to share them with you today.

1- Focus less on being an author and more on being a writer. Yes, being an author is great. I love to go on Amazon and see my books for the world to read. I love when readers reach out saying they loved my books, and don’t even get me started on how happy I get when a good review pops in. But when I first started to write I did it because the process was fun, and that’s something I sadly lost over the past year and am determined to get back in 2015.

2- Be more active. For most of my life I’ve been the personification of couch potato — oh, the same! Honestly, I’ve always hated to exercice. Feeling clammy and sore are in the very top of my least favorite things, but let’s face it . . . I’m not getting younger! This is the year of the big 3-0 and it’s about time I start taking care of my muscles. So I’m committed to daily yoga practices (and by this I mean the workout sequences not just the relaxation ones). On top of that I’ve been seriously lacking in the social media and blogging worlds, which was something I really enjoyed doing before Exception was published. So I pledge to become active and engaged in the cyberworld as well. Look forward to frequent posts not only about my writing news, but also about life, cooking, music and books I’m reading. It’s gonna be fun! 🙂

3- Live with intent, kindness and gratitude. I’ve noticed that sometimes life gets too busy and bad things happen and we end up living in auto-pilot. Days and weeks go by without us really noticing them, and if there’s one thing I learned with the passing of my cousin is that life goes fast and ends even faster. So this year I’m gonna live all of the days I’m alive. I’ll be kind and grateful to others and myself, and I’ll enjoy the little things (like my hubs smile in the morning) as much as I enjoy the big things.

4- Make time. Time for myself, for my awesome husband, for my friends, for my furbabies. Time to write, to read, to watch TV, to sleep. Time to think about life and dream.

In my list I’ve also added things like: wear more dresses, quit gluten, and try at least two new recipes every week. But those are the most important ones and the ones I feel will be the hardest ones to keep. And I’ll keep them! I’ll also tell you all about them. 🙂

If you have resolutions please share them with me and we can motivate each other in keeping them throughout the year, because this will be THE YEAR OF AWESOME THINGS. I know it will. 🙂

With lot’s of love…

Cool Stuff + Street Team

Hello friends!

The past couple of weeks have been busy busy busy, which means I’m super incredibly late in writing this post. However, cool stuff and good news are always welcome, even if they’re late, right? So, without further ado, let’s get to the news…

TRIS’s blog tour just ended and the response to it has been awesome. Almost all 4 or 5 star reviews (YAY!). If you were busy busy busy like me and missed the stops, just follow this link and you can check them out. Also, stay tuned because I’ll be posting some of the reviews here and at my Facebook page. 🙂

The other really cool thing that happened last week was EXCEPTION’S FIRST ANNIVERSARY! I can’t believe it’s been one year that my baby was published. Time has really flown by. Because I strongly believe that nothing says celebration better than gifts I’ve put together a giveaway with 12  e-book copies of EXCEPTION (one for each month it’s been published). And since I’ve been a bad book momma and let this special day go by uncelebrated, I’m adding 3 combos of EXCEPTION and THE REASON I STAY to this giveaway. =D Woo-hoo!! To participate just click here and you’ll be directed to the giveaway tab at my Facebook page. Good luck, guys!

Last, but not least, I’ve decided to start a street team. I still don’t have a name or badge (I’m totally talking suggestions, BTW), but I’m super excited about it and I’d love to have you on the team. Aside from my eternal love, joining the team comes with first look privileges into my new projects, ARCs and occasional gifts and special giveaways for the team. If you want in write me using the contact form or email me at

That’s it for now!

Blog tour time — YAY!

Hello, people!

It’s been a while since I stopped by for an update, and that was my mistake because so many things happened. So here’s a quick recap…

THE REASON I STAY is published. Yay!! It’s been a great month and I’m so happy with the reader and blogger feedback I’m getting. Thank you so much to all who’ve read and reviewed or reached out to me. You all have no idea how much it means to me. 🙂

In case you haven’t read TRIS yet because you were waiting for that update here, I apologize again (LOL). But the good news is that you can now head over to Amazon US (click here) or to your preferred Amazon store worldwide, because TRIS is available in all of them. 🙂 If you’re a Nook user you can click here for the B&N version. If Kobo is your thing, then check it out here. I really hope you find it enjoyable! 🙂

Now that I got the biggest news out of the way, let’s get to the point of this post… The blog tour for THE REASON I STAY starts today and I’m excited! There will be lots of reviews, guest posts, interviews, and about thirty (yep 30!!) giveaways happening. 🙂 It’ll be super fun and I’m so excited to share it all with you.
